Amelia Fay Sumrall Baldwin, age 92, a resident of Diamondhead, died in Gulfport, MS on, Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Mrs. Baldwin was a retired medical secretary and graduate of Perk Junior College.
She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church and traveled for fourteen years on a mission to Saltillo, Mexico. Mrs. Baldwin did volunteer work for the Navy/Marine Corp. and was a member of the Diamondhead Women's Golf Association.
Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Baldwin; her parents, Leonard and Estelle Rankin Sumrall; her sisters, Dorothy D. Parker and Ruby Bradley; and one brother, Alex Ray Sumrall.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Joy Morse, of Brea, CA; sons; William Gregory of Ponce Inlet, FL, and Thomas Gregory of Gulfport; stepchildren, Darlene Marshall of Alexander, AR, Theresa Shoubaki of Crestview. FL, Elizabeth Baldwin of Ft. Walton Beach, FL. Michael Baldwin of Summerville. NC. Matthew Baldwin of Pen Argyl, PA, and Ralph P. Baldwin of Crestview, FL; seventeen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 pm. Burial will be on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 11:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
