Alvin R. Wilson

Alvin R. Wilson, Sr., age 80, of Ocean Springs, passed away Friday, March 23, 2012 in Gulfport.
Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a fisherman. He loved his family and friends. He loved to sing Nonnie Nonnie to rock his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to sleep.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma N. Wilson; mother, Elva C. Wilson; father, Jeff Wilson; and brothers, Lionel and Steve Wilson.
Survivors include his sons, Alvin R. Wilson, Jr and wife Sherry and Charles Edward Wilson and wife Angela; daughter, Tammy L. Wilson Cabaniss; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and expecting one more; sisters, Jennie Hire and Carolyn Andrews and husband Andy; and brothers, Curtis Wilson and wife Tomieko, Charles ""Goobie"" Wilson and wife Jean and Seburn Wilson; and other loving family members.
Visitation will be Monday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Graveside Services will be at 9am on Tuesday, March 27 at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
