Alvin Durel, Sr., age 64 of Long Beach passed away October 7, 2012.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Salters Durel; mother, Floretta Sprinkle Durel; father, William ""Bill"" Durel; and brother, Stephen Paul Durel.
Survivors include his son, Alvin Durel, Jr. of Long Beach; granddaughter, Megan Taylor Durel of Long Beach; sisters, Marie Etta Wise of Long Beach, Floretta Marie Guardia of Moline, IL, and Louise Durel of Long Beach; and brother, Willie Paul Durel of Flowood, MS.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, with a visitation one hour prior, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach.
