Alvin Barnes

MSgt Alvin Barnes, Ret, U.S. Air Force, age 78, of Biloxi, Passed away on March 4, 2011 in Biloxi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Slone Barnes, Sr and Hattie O. Barnes; a brother, Robert Barnes, Jr; and a daughter, Kathy Jean Barnes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Helen Pitts Barnes of Biloxi; his children, Sharon Lynn Beard (Lyndon) of Gulfport, Michael Scott Barnes (Quin) of Gulfport, Susan Tillman Barnes (Chris) of Saucier, and Brian Jason Barnes of Biloxi; two grandchildren, Christina Lynne Beard of Dallas, TX and John Maxwell Barnes of Gulfport; and two brothers, Howard Barnes and Eugene Barnes, both of South Carolina.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years as a Master Sergeant. He then worked and retired after 21 years at Sears Company.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 12:30 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi where family and friends may visit from 11:30 AM until service time. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
