Althea Ruth (Beacham) Taylor, of Peachtree City, GA, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, in Peachtree City.
A resident of Gulfport, MS for over 50 years, she was past president, owner, and operator of AlaÌ‚â‚â„¢s Pest Control, Gulfport. A member of MS City United Methodist Church, Gulfport, she was a long time sponsor and league player of AlaÌ‚â‚â„¢s Pest Control at the AMF Bowling Centers, Gulfport. Mrs. Taylor was a loving mother, family member, and cherished friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Hughie Lester aÌ‚â‚ËœDocaÌ‚â‚â„¢ Beacham and Lillimae (Whitfield) Lawton; her husband: John D. Taylor, Sr.; her sisters, Flora Louise Beacham and Dorothy (Beacham) Catt; her daughter, Pamela Jean (Taylor) Gill; a grandson, Steven E. aÌ‚â‚ËœLittle SteveaÌ‚â‚â„¢ Taylor, Jr; niece Linda (Catt) Lambert; and a nephew Jewitt R. aÌ‚â‚ËœRayaÌ‚â‚â„¢ Catt .
Survivors include her children, John D. Taylor and his wife, Kimberly (Reynolds) Taylor, Nashville, TN; her grandchildren, John Hugh Gill, Jr and his wife, Angela Denise (Hill) Gill, Diamondhead, MS, Michael B. Taylor and his wife, Heather (Terry) Taylor, Lawton, OK, David W. Taylor, St Augustine, FL, Jason E. Taylor and his wife, Katie (Bacarella) Taylor, Birmingham, AL, Katherine E. (Taylor) Patterson and her husband, Brent Patterson, Tucker, GA, Rosana M. Taylor, West Point, NY, Erin D. Taylor, Fort Campbell, KY, Amanda S. Bounds, Galveston, TX, and Elizabeth H. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commison Rd, Long Beach. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Interment will follow in Allen Cemetery.
