Alma Thomas

Alma Josephine "Alma Jo" Thomas age 84, a native of Booneville, MS and resident of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away at her home on October 28, 2019.
She was an avid walker, who loved living in the country, working in her yard and spending time with her friends and family.  She was of the Catholic Faith and was a long time member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Gautier.
Alma is preceded in death by her parents, Murry and Ruby Rodgers; her husband, John Thomas; her daughter, Rebecca  Hendley;  and her siblings, R.C., Leland, Glenda, Veronica, and Ernestine.
She is survived by her grandsons, James Smith (Melinda) of Caldwell, TX and Lonnie Cobb of Vancleave, MS; three great grandchildren, Carmen Smith, Courtney Smith and Corey Smith; and one great great granddaughter, her namesake Emma Jo Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for family and friends from 10:30 a.m. until Mass at St. Mary Catholic Church, Gautier, MS.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Mary Catholic Church, 809 De La Pointe Dr. Gautier, MS.
