Mr. Allison A. Douglas, age 94, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010 in Gulfport.
Mr. Douglas was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. He served in the United States Navy and later retired from Keesler Air Force Base where he served as a supervisor in the electronic training school. He was a long standing member of First Baptist Church of Gulfport serving many years as a deacon and over 30 years as a Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Woodrow Douglas.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Elouise Douglas; his son, Dr. Jan Eric Douglas and his wife, Mary of New York; and his daughter, DeAnna Douglas of Hattiesburg.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, with visitation starting one hour prior to the service time, all at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Interment will be at a later date at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church of Gulfport, or to one's favorite charity. The online guestbook may be signed at www.riemannfamily.com.
