Alicia Rivera

Alicia Gonzalez Rivera, born Alicia Gonzalez Cruz in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico on March 8, 1950, passed away on April 4, 2017 in Biloxi, Mississippi at the age of 67.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her mother Aida Cruz and her father Carmelo Gonzalez.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 40 years, Ramon Rivera; her loving children, René Ruiz Gonzalez (Nancy), Joan Gonzalez (Ernie), Yesenia Nelson (Ken), and Fabian Rivera; Nine grandchildren, Adrienne, David, Bianca, Nadia, Ivan, Ariah, Saudia, Aryana and Tatyana; five great grandchildren, Uriel, Aeris, Soren, Roya and Isaac; brothers, Nelson Gonzalez and Carmelo Gonzales.
Alicia lived a full life. Her family was the center of her universe. She was a fiercely protective and loving mother, devoted wife, loyal friend, sage counselor, passionate believer and compassionate soul. She has lived in Biloxi for over 30 years, worked for the Isle of Capri Casino for 20 years.
Alicia departed this life with great courage and humor surrounded by her loving family. She will be greatly and forever missed.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 7:00 pm, where friends may visit from 6:00 pm until service.
