Alice Deborah Biggerstaff, known to her friends and family as "Debbie", was born on May 17, 1960 in Picayune, MS. She was the daughter of Larry Franklin Lee and Pearl Alice Lee. Debbie unexpectedly passed away at USA Health University Hospital in Mobile, Alabama on Friday, July 22, 2022.
She was raised on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, then relocated to Memphis, Tennessee in 1999. She enjoyed spending time on the beach while on the Gulf Coast, and taking in all that Beale Street and Memphis had to offer while there. Debbie enjoyed life and all that the local areas had to offer, but more than anything, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Pearl Lee; husband, Jamal Taher; and grandson, Brendan Hunter Justin.
She is survived by her son, Joel (Rosalia) Lee of Diamondhead, MS; daughter, Hope (Jeff) Wheaton of Addison, New York; seven grandchildren, Taylor Blanchard, Josh Lee, Wyatt Wheaton, Hayle Wheaton, Isabella Lee, Timothy Lee, Sutton Lee; two great grandchildren, Gracelynn Blanchard and London Blanchard; stepmother, Sandra Boyd of Gulfport; five brothers, Larry Lee, Gary (Darlene) Lee, Donald (Annette) Lee, Daniel (Lena) Lee, and Darrell (Tonya) Lee; along with many other friends and family.
Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022, with visitation from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm, and funeral service starting at 4:00 p.m., at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Rd. Gulfport.
