Alice Carter Sperier, age 84, of Gulfport, formerly of Pass Christian, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Gulfport.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Pass Christian for entire life, serving as treasurer for 25 years and was honored with a recognition service at her retirement. She loved her church and it was a very important part of her life. Mrs. Sperier was an avid reader and loved her visits for many years to the Pass Christian Library and later to the Gulfport library.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Sperier, her parents, Willis and Alphonsine Carter, a brother, Woodrow Carter, a sister, Nora Necaise, and a grandson, Stephen James Mozingo.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Don Mozingo, 2 grandchildren, Matthew Mozingo and Zachary Mozingo, and 2 nieces, Sylvia Bogart and her husband Ronnie, and Jeanne Necaise.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 9 - 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Comission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will begin at 11 in the funeral home chapel..
Interment will be in Old DeLisle Cemetery.
