Alice E. Simpson, age 91 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Thursday, October 4, 2007 in Gulfport.
Mrs. Simpson was a native and lifelong resident of the MS Gulf Coast and was a member of First Baptist Church in Gulfport.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Ola Price Benefield; her husband, William R. Simpson; her sister, Hattie Lee Becnel; her brothers, Hartford O'Dell Benefield, Tom E. Benefield, William T. Benefield, Otis Donald Benefield, and John Louie Benefield.
She is survived by her children, William P. (Bobbie Jean) Simpson of Port Orange, FL, Robert R. (Mary Anne) Simpson of Long Beach, Donna (Charlie) Dabbs of Saucier, and Dorothy (Jim) Jermyn of Manvel, TX; her sister, Clara Nell Whittington of Goodwater, AL; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 8, 2007 at 10:00am at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11266 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
