Alice Lyle Rawls

Alice C. Lyle Rawls, age 93, passed away on February 7, 2015, in Hattiesburg, MS.
She was a native of Virginia and moved to Gulfport in 1947 with her family and was a member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Rawls had a true passion for her family, and gave sacrificially for them. She enjoyed gardening, arranging flowers, playing bridge, baking, entertaining, and could always find a way to be helpful to those in need around her. She will be sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Penn Andrew Crawford and Etta Maude Ehart, husband, John Lewis Lyle, husband, Don M. Rawls, a brother, Woodrow Crawford, and 2 sisters, Sarah Worsham and Christine Hester.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanie Pollard (Anthony), Joyce Lyle Massingill (Lamar), a son, John Woodrow Lyle (Gloria), 9 grandchildren, Pamela Finch, Michael Pollard, Terry Pollard, Adam Pollard, Jeanna Gronmeyer, John Jinks, Jennifer Ladner, Rebecca Atwell, and Matthew Lyle, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Irene Beasley.
Visitation will be held at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., Gulfport, from 10 - 11 am on Wednesday, February 11, 2015. A private service will be held for the family. Interment will be held in Floral Hills Memorial Hills.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
