Alice Fae Warren Johnson, 75, passed away on January 1, 2019 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born to Mary Lou and Earl Elmer Warren on August 6, 1943, in Knoxville, TN and grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She was a class of 1962 graduate of Moss Point High School. In her school days, she enjoyed playing basketball, dancing, and spending time with her friends.
She grew up as a member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church and later in life called Safe Harbor United Methodist Church her church family. As a member of the gospel quartet,

, she brought special meaning to the song "Jesus, There's Just Something About That Name."
She had an independent streak and worked throughout her life, first at Cato in Grenada and Oxford and then Bank of Mississippi in Grenada. She made many friends throughout her time working and remained friends when she moved.
Never losing her love of the coast and her family there, she returned and continued her work at BancorpSouth in Ocean Springs and lastly at Lowe's in Gautier. After her return to the coast, she married Terry Johnson whom she had known since high school. She and Terry celebrated their 18
th
anniversary in June. They loved to dance and the dance floor would clear when they danced the Jitterbug to numerous of their favorite 50s tunes.
Throughout her life, Alice Fae was devoted to her children, instilling the values of hard work and determination. She cherished her 11 grandchildren who affectionately called her Mammaw.
She was predeceased by her parents. Those left with fond memories are her husband, Terry Johnson; children from her first marriage, Jeff Hall (David Snider) of Charlotte, NC, Andy Redding (Jeff) of Conyers, GA, and James Alan Hall (Whitney) of Eau Claire, WI; and her step-daughter, Vicky Hupe (Chris) of Ocean Springs, MS; grandchildren, Walker, Nate, Drew, and Shelby Redding, Isabel, Austin, Cailey, Claira, Maylee, and Rennah Hall and Christopher Hupe. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters Alla Mae Chattom of Eight Mile, AL; Alda Rae Canfield of Moss Point, MS, and brother Billie Wayne Warren (Shirley) of Grand Bay, AL; as well as her nieces, Twila Canfield, Nora Loper, Mary Thornhill , and nephews Jerry Chattom and Christopher Warren.
A service to celebrate the life of Alice Fae will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Safe Harbor United Methodist Church, 12000 Hwy 63, Moss Point, MS. Visitation will be from 9:30 am - 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Jeff Redding, Walker Redding, Nate Redding, Drew Redding, David Snider, Chris Hupe and honorary pallbearer, Christopher Hupe.
