Alfred """"Pee Wee"""" Wilson, age 67, of Gulfport, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in Gulfport.
Mr. Wilson was a boat builder and craftsman. He was a lifetime commercial fisherman who was the first to catch one million pounds of Mackeral in one week.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Wilson; and two brothers, Milton Wilson and Butch Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne Cartwright Wilson of Gulfport; his mother, Julia Wilson, of Gulfport; his children, James Alfred Wilson and his wife, Beverly, of Vancleave, Amy Wilson McManus and her husband, Thomas, of Gulfport, Tabatha Scarborough and her husband, John, of Biloxi, and Tiffany Cartwright of Gulfport; siblings, Annette Cuevas, Johnny Wilson, Ray Wilson, Judy Wilson, and Melvin Wilson; six grandchildren, Rebecca, Jessy, Travis, Katelin, Devin, and Ashton; and two great grandchildren, Jessy, Jr., and Miles.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at 1:00 PM at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens. For more information, please call (228)539-9800.
