Alfred “Bobee” Clute, Jr., age 61, of Gulfport, passed away Friday, February 25, 2022, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Clute, Sr.; and his significant other, Sherry Payne.
Survivors include his daughter, Amber Clute (Tim); his mother, Pat Clute; his grandchildren, Bryce Clute and Reece Taylor; his sister, Tammi Ladner; his half-sisters, Melanie and Crystal; and his nieces, Shannon Reed and Corrie Ladner.
Bobee was a native of Florida and had been a longtime resident of Gulfport. He was a Master Craftsman of Stucco and Plaster. He was a lifelong member of the Gulfport Church of God, where his craftmanship can be seen in the stonework on the baptistry, the plastered ceiling in the sanctuary as well as the brickwork on the inside and the outside of the church.
He was a faithful vocal member of the group “Voices of Praise,” who traveled throughout Mississippi and Louisiana singing the gospel. He loved horseback riding, leafing and logging, and making people laugh. His greatest joys in life were his daughter and grandsons. If you were to ask him, he would say they were his greatest achievement.
He was the most loving and dedicated father a girl could ask for. He was the perfect dad in every way. He will be deeply missed but never, ever forgotten. He will live in our hearts and stay on our minds forever until the end of time.
