Alex Jay Copeland, age 24, passed away on August 13, 2019 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Biloxi and was a resident of Poplarville.
He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Charles and Marjorie Board.
He is survived by his mother, Annette Marie Rose Copeland (and step-father, Deryl Morris) of Necaise; father, Noel "Scott" Copeland of Long Beach; one sister, Lacey Morris of Necaise; one step-brother, Steven Morris of Long Beach; his grandmother, Teresa Rose of Poplarville; Aunt, Renee Buel of San Diego, CA; and numerous other family members and friends.
Alex graduated from Poplarville High School in the Class of 2013 and went to trade school at Pearl River Community College. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his sickness. He was a hard worker, a good person, and had a kind soul. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to Angel Flights Inc. at 12345 East Skelly Drive, Tulsa, OK 74128.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 at RIEMANN FAMILY HOME 19130 Commission Rd. Long Beach, MS.
