Albert "Bootsie" Lizana
December 26, 1925 — June 15, 2011
Albert ""Bootsie"" Lizana, 85, went to be with his sweetheart in Heaven on their wedding anniversary June 15, 2011.
He was born in Cuevas, MS on December 26, 1925 to Ernest and Mary Lizana.
Bootsie was a faithful member of Holy Family Parish and worked for 35 years in Operations Control for Greyhound Transportation.
He loved gardening, fishing, herding his cattle, and spending time with his family and grandkids.
Bootsie will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vondie Slade Lizana; parents, Ernest and Mary Lizana; brothers, Ernest Lizana, Jr. and Huey Lizana; and his grandson, Jerred Necaise.
Survivors include his daughters, Sharon Smith and Sheila Necaise (Bobby); grandchildren, Stephanie Manning, J Shepler, and Jamie Necaise (Michelle); and his great grandchildren, Morgan Manning, Macy Manning, Alleah Necaise, Kodie Necaise, and Stephen Necaise.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm, with visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, at Holy Family Parish, Menge Avenue, Pass Christian.
Burial will follow at Old Delisle Cemetery, Pass Christian.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Holy Family Parish or the charity of your choice.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian assisted the family with arrangements.
