On Wednesday, March 9, 2011, SSGT Albert Lee ""Jack"" ""Sarge"" Birchwell, U.S. Army, Ret. passed away in Gulfport.
Please join us in celebrating his new eternal life with a visitation on Friday, March 11 from 6 - 8 pm at Gulf Coast Free Will Baptist Church, 13040 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 11 am at the church. A graveside service with military honors will be Monday, March 14 at 10 am at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lucas Birchwell and Woodrow Birchwell, and a step-daughter, Delois Starns.
He is survived by his wife, Velma Joyce Birchwell, daughters/stepdaughters, Rita Theis, Sherri Jaster, Linda Bell, and Teresa LeeAnn Birchwell, sons/stepsons, Terry Birchwell, Eddie Blair, and Terry Baker, sisters, Lula Sumner and Julia Brashear, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and other family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gulf Coast Free Will Baptist Church.
