Mr. Alan Olsen Clark, Sr., born December 23, 1940, in Kingsport, TN, died Friday, December 16, 2005, in Mobile, AL.
Mr. Clark was a lifelong resident of Gulfport, MS, graduate of Gulfport High School and University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance. He was also a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and a graduate of L.S.U. School of Banking. He was a Retired Executive Vice President of Whitney National Bank, formerly Merchants Bank and Trust. He served as Past Chairman of the Board of the
Mississippi Coast Transit Authority, was a member of the Mississippi Economic
Development Commission and served as Harrison County Jury Commissioner. He was a Board member and Past President of the Great Southern Golf Club, formerly Broadwater Country Club, member of the Century Club, Gulfport Yacht Club, Gulfport Chamber of Commerce, and Gulfport Businessmen's Club.
Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Lamar Clark, Jr., and
brother L. Lamar Clark, III.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda, of Gulfport; sons Alan Olsen Clark, Jr. and John Christian Clark of Houston, TX; and sister Susan Huddle of Mobile, AL.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, December 19, 2005 at First United Methodist Church in Gulfport at 1:00 p.m. where friends may visit one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi at a later date.
