Adolf E. Hubmann, age 78, of Gulfport, passed away on November 10, 2008, in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Adolph Hubmann and Elizabeth R. Hubmann; and a brother, Clifford Hubmann.
Mr. Hubmann is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Hubmann of Gulfport; his sons, Terry Wade Hubmann of Gulfport and David Ray Hubmann of Brandon, MS; his grandchildren, April Ann Lewis, Jennifer Ann Norman, William I. W. Hubmann, and David Wayne Hubmann; his great grandchildren, Adian Lewis, Zachary Lewis, Charlee Claire Norman, and Leo Norman; a sister, Christine Marie Wray and her husband, Royce, of Benton, AR; and a brother, Walter Schrader, and his wife, Irene, of Alexander, AR.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gulfport. He retired after 17 years with the Small Business Administration where he was an economic development specialist. He was a past president of the Long Beach Kiwanis Club. An avid stamp collector, Mr. Hubmann was a member of the American Philatelic Society, American First Day Cover Society, and the Plate Number Coil Collectors Club. He was the current treasurer of the Gulf Coast Stamp Club.
The visitation will held on Thursday, November 13, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Gulfport. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2008, at 2:00 PM at the Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, AR.
