Adeline 'Bella' Fonte Fulton, age 86, of Biloxi, died on March 21, 2008 in Biloxi, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Fonte; siblings: Dr. Salvatore Fonte, Florence Perez, Louis Fonte, Thomas Fonte, Sr., Rosemary White, and Ernest Fonte.
Bella is survived by her husband, Henry Luke Fulton, Sr. of Biloxi; her children, Henry Luke Fulton, Jr and his wife, Judy, of North Port, FL, Leslie Anne Fulton Weatherly of Haymarket, VA, Robert G. Fulton, Sr., of Waldorf, MD, Daniel C. Fulton & Melody K. Turnley, of Gulfport, MS, Anita Fulton Freeman and her husband, Michael, of Middleburg, VA, and Lisa M. Fulton Gaylor and her husband, Richard, of Bryans Road, MD; her brothers, Charles Fonte, Jr and his wife, Joan, of Homestead, FL and Nicholas Fonte of Linwood, NJ; and a sister, Carmel Hillert of Linwood, NJ; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren.
Bella graduated from Atlantic City High School, Atlantic City, NJ in 1940. She met and married her husband Luke Fulton during World War II. Bella relocated to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area in 1948 with her husband Luke, where they lived and raised six children together. In addition to being a full time homemaker, Bella was also the office manager and co-owner of Luke's TV Service of Suitland, MD from 1948 to 1992. During this time, Bella and Luke were active members of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Washington, DC, Mt. Calvary Catholic Church in Forestville, MD, St. Philip's the Apostle Catholic Church in Camp Springs, MD, and finally St. Bernadine's Catholic Church in Suitland, MD. Bella served as an active member of the Ladies Sodality and Women's Altar Society and devoted many volunteer hours working with the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) at both St. Philip's and St. Bernadine's Catholic Churches.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd, Biloxi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
