Adeline David

Maree Adeline Horn David, age 99, of Gulfport, passed away on December 24, 2011, in New Orleans.
She was a native of Bay Springs, MS, and lived most of her life on the coast. Mrs. David was an accomplished soloist/vocalist and she taught music in public schools and later gave piano lessons in her home. She and her late husband, Upton Sisson David, were charter members of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a devoted member of the choir, and the UMW, and served on various committees. She was also a member of the P.E.O., and the Bayou View Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, W.G. Horn, and James Denson Horn, and a sister, Mary Ellen Horn Massey.
Survivors include her daughter, Priscilla Ellen David (John) Lawrence, a sister, Rebecca Horn Jordan, her grandchildren, Brian Joseph (Rebecca) O'Reilly, Jr., Shannon Maree O'Reilly (Charles) Wade, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, December 28, 2011, in the family cemetery near Vancleave, MS.
