Ada Hults Barnes, Age 94, passed into her eternal life on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at River Chase Village, Gautier, MS.
She was born June 25, 1924, in Moss Point, to the late Arthur Archie and Vera Dechert Hults.
Ada was preceded in death by her grandson, Arnie Pierce III; siblings, Thelma Felton, Howard and Henry Hults.
Ada is survived by her three children, Buddy (Donna) Barnes, Barbara (John) Thompson and Beverly Lee. She leaves behind a legacy of 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ada began her professional life as a registered nurse during WWII and transitioned into Owner/Operator of Hults Seafood in Moss Point, MS. She retired as Office Manager/Comptroller for Mallette Brothers Construction after many years of dedicated service.
Ada loved spending time with family, cooking, gardening, bowling, golfing and traveling. She was talented at all types of handwork and crafts. One of her athletic accomplishments was lettering in basketball at Moss Point High School. In the most recent year, she was well-known for her card and game skills, specializing in Rummikub.
