Aaron Leif Moore, affectionately known as Dad and Hunny, ran into the arms of his Mother and our Lord on May 27, 2022, at the age of 44.
Born on April 23, 1978, Aaron was born in Biloxi, MS and raised in St Martin. Aaron married the love of his life, Valerie Moore, in 2011 and together raised their children Leif Moore, Corban Moore and Colton Miller, whom he was extremely devoted to. He was not only a dedicated husband, son, and brother, but he treasured his children and never missed their sporting events. Aaron was known for loving hard and being the most devoted and faithful person to his family.
Aaron was a high school graduate of St Martin High School, class of 1996. After high school, Aaron followed his passion for baseball to pitch for MGCCC, where he played until he sustained an arm injury. From there he began working at Huntington Ingalls where he moved up in positions, continuously learning about the shipbuilding industry until his medical retirement in 2019.
Aaron was an avid baseball fan from the minute he could pick up a ball. A love that he passionately passed down to all three of his boys. One of his favorite past times was coaching youth such as RJ, Kayden, Landon P, Travis, and Matthew at the St Martin Youth Baseball Fields. He loved the Boston Red Sox and he loved his boxer babies even more: Lola and Chloe Moore. Aaron is the reigning King of Southernettes 2022, King Zeus. He was so proud of that title and thoroughly enjoyed himself this Mardi Gras season, often stating when he requested something and was questioned, “because I’m the King”, then glancing a smirking grin at his wife.
He is preceded in death by his mother Charlotte Moore, his grandparents Ottice and Annie Rose Moore, Jr., Jim and Mary Kinsey, Clifford Hosli, and his niece Reagan Aeryn Teates.
Aaron is survived by his loving wife of ten and a half years, Valerie Moore, sons Leif (Karly Pannelli), Corban (Baylee Trosclair), Colton, father Don Moore, sister Ashleigh (Brandon) Teates, nephews Michael, Ashdon, Zaiden, Roanin, Cullen and Declan, niece Melissa and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Honorary Pall Bearers are his best friends Miguel Lawrence and Joel Bush.
Special thanks from the deepest part of hearts to OSH ICU Nurses, Two West Nurses, Techs and a very special thank you to his favorite Dominique “Dom” and Dr. Randy Roth.
