Aaron ""Don"" Hardy, CMSgt, U.S. Air Force, retired, age 65 and a resident of Lumberton, passed into his eternal home on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rhonda Hardy.
He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Marcia Smith Hardy of Lumberton; his father, Hilson Hardy and his wife Jean of Dadeville, AL; his mother, Frances Charles of Montgomery, AL; his children, Kim Polhemus and her husband George of D'Iberville, Brian Hardy and his wife Theresa of Batesville, MS, Tennille Chamberlain and her husband Jeff of Southaven, MS and Jerrad Riley and his wife, Cassie of Jonesboro, AR; mother-in-law, Mildred Burrus of D'Iberville; son-in-law, Pete Radich of Woolmarket; siblings, Ronnie Hardy of Dadeville, AL, and Greg Charles, Deborah Howard and Gloria Kirkland, all of Montgomery; grandchildren: Mikki Radich (Mark), George Polhemus, Caleb Hardy, Brian Hardy, Adam, Erin, Ryan, and Ashlyn; and great-grandson, Niko Williams.
Don was blessed with countless, wonderful friends, too many to name, and touched the hearts of so many.
Don had an extensive military career beginning in 1966, and retired in 2003 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Twenty nine years of his military career were spent with the 403rd Wing at Keesler Air Force Base where he led and mentored thousands of airmen to follow in his footsteps and become leaders.
He knew is his heart that he was a rich man on this earth because of his family and many friends. Don was loved and respected by so many and will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
