Vernon Woodcock

Vernon Everett Woodcock, Sr, age 92, passed away on July 12, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ida Woodcock; his siblings, Mildred Hammons, William "Bill" Woodcock, Doris Allen, James "Buck" Woodcock, and Carl Woodcock; a grandson, Jimmy "Jimbo" Bryant, Jr.; his first wife, Helen "Bonnie" Lind Woodcock; and his second wife, Sandi Stone Woodcock Barton.
Survivors include his children, Dianne (Perrin) Hurdle, Dana "Sissie" (Glenn) Adcock, Vernon Woodcock, Jr., and Veronica Lynn (David Scarborough) Ordner; a sister, Joyce (Rudy) Helton; 7 grandchildren, Dee Dee, Michele, Stephanie, Dalton, Emma, Landon, and Angel; 10 great-grandchildren, 20 great-great-grandchildren; a special friend, Betty Woodcock; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mr. Woodcock served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and he was able to go on the Honor Flight in 2014. He loved to dance and spend time with his family.
Visitation will be on Friday, July 21, 2017, from 9 - 11 am at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will be at 11 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Shriners Children's Hospital.
