Ronald Jenkins

Ronald E. Jenkins, Sr. 68 of Ocean Springs, MS, formerly of Brazil, IN, passed away January 4, 2020 after a year long illness and complications of treatment for lung cancer.

Ron was born on February 21, 1951 in Brazil, Indiana to Loyd and Loretta Jenkins. He graduated from Van Buren High School in 1969. Ron retired from Olin Brass after working there for 30 years just prior to the plant closing. After his wife retired in November of 2017 they moved to the warmth of the South and settled in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Ron was very dedicated to his family.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Claudia; his two children, Ronald Jenkins, Jr (Tonya Martin) of Ocean Springs and Jennifer Eder of Brazil; siblings, Wanda Butts (Robert) & Lloyd Jr (June) of Brazil, William (Denise) of Goldsmith, Charles (Carol) of Princeton; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law David and Marylou Biggs of Los Angeles; and also several cousins that felt like siblings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson. Per his wishes, cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be held at a later time in Brazil.
