Rodney Hayes

Rodney Paul Hayes, age 57, of D’Iberville, passed away April 8, 2022. He was born in Tacoma, Washington, to the parents of Hubert and Barbara Hayes, on February 6, 1965. Rodney attended school in D’Iberville, MS, and went on to further his education at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Perkingston, MS. After school, he relocated to California to pursue a career in construction, where he found success. Rodney returned to the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, where he started Hayes Construction with his brothers and later went to work with his beloved sister to build A+ Building Contractors. Years later, Rodney met his cherished wife, Darlene, and started DDR Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. Rodney was an avid car collector and found great joy in attending car shows, restoring antique cars, fishing, and camping. He loved the LSU Tigers and New Orleans Saints, spending time with his family and friends. Rodney was a devoted son and took great pride in caring for his loving mother and father.

Rodney is preceded in death by his oldest brother, Hubert “Woody” T. Hayes Jr.

Rodney is survived by his parents, Hubert and Barbara Hayes; his wife, Darlene Hayes; and stepchildren, Daphnie (Ben) Brent, Jeremiah (Christina) Lyons, and Jeremy Lyons. He also leaves behind his ten loving siblings, Novelle (Coreth) Hayes, Alvin (Connie) Hayes, Derryl (Chaundra) Hayes, Clinton (Vicky) Hayes, Shaunelle (Reginald) King, Donna (Donald) Anderson, Patrice (Nolle) Griffin, Rene (Holly) Hayes, Terrence Hayes and Scott (Camille) Hayes; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and nephews and lifelong friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Lyons, Jeremiah Lyons, Terrence Hayes, Scott Hayes, Rene Hayes, Reginald King, Tavares Bradley.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Services will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 2:00pm, with a visitation 1 hour prior; both at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, MS. Entombment will follow at Biloxi Mausoleum Cemetery.
