Norman Boyd

Norman Boyd, age 89, of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, in Gulfport.
Mr. Boyd was born September 12, 1928, in Sumrall, MS.  He retired as a Navy Chief after serving 21 years in the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War. He then retired after 20 years of civil service at the V.A. in Gulfport.  He also owned his own business, Boyd Electric, for almost 50 years.
Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alpha Boyd, four brothers, Leroy, Howard, Jabous, and Alvin; five sisters, Troy Bond, Merle Fairchild, Nanny Lott, Letha Glass, and Myrtis Martin.  He is survived by his wife of 55 years Connie Faulkenberry Boyd; his children, Timothy Boyd (Tammy), Jeffrey Boyd, Robert Boyd (Melinda), Betty Boyd Britt (Marc), and Leann Harper-Moe, and grandchildren, Taylor Boyd, Tanner Boyd,  Jase Britt, Dylan Moe, Austin River Moe, and Philip Galamore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of South Mississippi or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
A funeral service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 11 AM, with visitation for family and friends from 9 - 11 AM.  Burial services will be held in the Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30PM.
