Mary Isabelle Cooper Riley (Aunt Issie) 96, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 11,2021.

She was born on May 17, 1924, in Memphis, TN, to Mildred and Finis E. Cooper, Sr. She married James W. Riley on February 2, 1943 and traveled to many states and Japan during his 27 years in the United States Air Force.

Upon her husband's retirement, they returned to Gulfport where she was a homemaker. She first volunteered and then worked at St. John High School cafeteria alongside her sister, Eva Walker and sister-in-law, Iris Cooper. What a trio!

After the death of her husband in 2005, Issie moved to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Mark Malone. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Andrews, NC.

She was predeceased by her mother and father; her husband, James W. Riley; and twelve brothers and sisters and their spouses.

Issie is survived by her only child, Kathy Riley Malone and son-in-law, Mark Malone; grandchildren, Tammy Randazzo (Wayne), Timothy Malone (Shanna) and Ryan Malone (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Haleigh and Peyton Randazzo, Madison, Connor and Jackson Malone, Meghan, Patrick and Colin Malone; one great-great-grandchild, Emma Randazzo; and many nieces and nephews who she loved so much.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport, MS on Friday, May 14th at 2:00pm. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery on 28th street in Gulfport. A reception will be held in Presentation Hall at St. John Elementary immediately following the cemetery service. Friends and relatives are invited to attend.
