Linda Allen

Linda Pratt Allen, age 80, passed away on March 14, 2020, in Gulfport, MS.  Mrs. Allen was born in Wiggins and lived her adult life in Gulfport.

She retired after 25 years as a teacher with the Gulfport School District.  She taught second grade at Central Elementary.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Catherine Pratt; her husband, Alton Bruce Allen, Sr.; and her son, Alton Bruce Allen, Jr.

She is survived by her sister, Sara Blankoustein of Baton Rouge, LA; her son, Kyle P. Allen of Gulfport; her stepdaughter, Cathy Allen Thompson (Bill) of Louisville, KY; her granddaughter, Elizabeth C. Allen (Colton) of Columbus, OH, Lauren S. Allen (Ben) of Akron, OH; and former daughter in law, Rebecca Sears of Columbus, OH; three step grandchildren in Louisville, KY; and many loving friends and relatives.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at 1:00 PM at The Handsboro Presbyterian Church,  1304 Pass Road, Gulfport, followed by a private family burial.

Masks and social distancing will be expected.
