Erika Cross

Erika L. Cross, age 78, of Biloxi, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014, after a brief illness.
Erika was born in Zeitz, Germany, on April 7, 1936 to Freidrich and Elsa Blume. She graduated from Hensoltshoehe School in Germany and worked in many occupations during her lifetime, including dental assistant, translator, and for the last 30 years as a Tupperware consultant. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and sports, and had a deep love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Paul Cross of Biloxi; four children, Hans-Joachim (Linda) Cross of Columbus, MS, Susan (Derek) Pinkerton of Valdosta, GA, Carol (Larry) Boyd of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Michael (Jennifer) Cross of Biloxi; a sister, Hannelore Richter of Germany; sister-in-law, Hazel Cross of Springfield, VA; her grandchildren, Hayley and Jaclyn Pinkerton, Dylan Cross, Tyler and Kailyn Cross; nieces and nephews, Wolfgang and Klaus-Peter Richter and Angelika Knorr; her beloved dogs, Bailey and Jager; a special friend, Louise Slote of Biloxi; and an ""adopted daughter,"" Sheree Montiforte of Biloxi.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 5 - 7 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi. The funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
