Charles W. Warfield, Sr., age 94, passed away on September 3, 2013 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Skremetta Warfield; his daughter, Gail Warfield; his son, Charles W. Warfield, Jr.; his brother, Ernest Warfield; and his sisters, Francis Wells and Myrtle Todd.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Stacey Warfield House, Angela Warfield, Charlotte Warfield and Jennifer Warfield; his great-grandchildren, Brittany Warfield, Devon Warfield, Courtney DeRocha, Ashlynn House, Joshua House, and Blakely House; his daughter-in-law, Nettie Jo Carter Warfield; and numerous cousins and good friends.
Mr. Warfield was the oldest used car dealer on the Gulf Coast. He had a passion for family, cars and shrimping. He enjoyed crafting miniature wooden shrimp boats and making sure all his grandchildren were cared for. He never met a stranger and always helped those in need.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 12:00 PM until the Mass. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
