Obituary of Mack Utsey

  Master Sergeant, Mack H. Utsey, US Army, Retired, age 90 and a resident of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 in Biloxi, MS.

  Mack was retired from the US Post office where he worked for 20 years after retiring from the US Army. He was also an active member and a deacon of Rodenberg Church of Christ in Biloxi.

  He is preceded in death by his parents, Gaines and Thelma Utsey; three brothers, Joseph Utsey, W.J. Utsey, Frankie Utsey; and four sisters, Ruth Yates, Vivian Flynt, Jackie Flynt, and Vera Robinson.

  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Frances Utsey of Biloxi; son, James H. Callis of Saucier; two grandchildren, Sherry Wilson (Greg) of Saucier, Jay Callis of Pensacola, FL; two great-grandchildren, Bryce Wilson of Saucier, Zachary Callis of Memphis, TN; one brother, Ray Utsey (Lurlee) of Mobile, AL; two sisters, Louie Saunders of Fairhope, AL, Barbara Stevens (Jack) of Mobile, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

  Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment with full military honors will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery immediately following the services.
